The Borders Community Film Archive was a project started by ALchemy Film & Arts to curate and preserve films produced in and about the Scottish Borders for the use of artist, the community and the public good of the Scottish Borders.

As the Archive Assistant, I was responsable for helping logging, processing and researching donated and digitalised films which where donated to the archive. This focused on use of my local knowledge, being born and raised in the Scottish Borfers, and going to external organisations to further research donated films. I was also involved in community outreach and supported Alchemy with local events involving the archive.

This was a short term Freelance role with learning support from Alchemy Film & Arts. This also led to a presentation on the work of the Borders Community Film Archive at the ICO Archive Screening Days (BFI Southbank, Dec 2021).
